Just decided to start a thread about PeopleSoft Security.  Couldn't think of any so hope this would be of value to some.

Let the PeopleSoft Internet Architecture be the starter and hope to write at least an info a week (or a day? I wish  )

3 Components of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture: (Database Server, Application server, Web server)

Dbase server houses the dbase engine, all of the system and application tables, and all the data (obviously)

App Server is the core of PIA  (PeopleSoft Internet Architecture) which is designed to reduce LAN traffic.  It facilitates browser connection thru a WEB SERVER. It generates virtually all the SQL as opposed to having the client generate SQL, thus allowing us not to be so concerned about the processing power of the workstation and the network bandwith.
