actually, I haven't actually tried out any of them. Vbulletin costs money, but I've been trying to get it off of Bit Torn for free for a while.

i prefer ipb, its much more friendly looking. VB is intimidating and it uses too much resources, plus the modifications for it are really expensive. IPB has a free mod community, while VB is all pay per a mod. Vbulletin is all about paying, while IPB (originally) was about experimenting and designing - new mods all the time for free. While VB you need to pay for everything - skins, mods - forum itself.

Not a goood idea.

If you do that then they can trace you alot easier.

Well, I like IPB the best, it has better features all over, and is more customizable imo. Plus all the skins that are "the best" are IPB imo.

I'm a master w/ IPB. But I think that iB (Ikonboards) rocks, but it must have CGI-Bin support, which rarely is in any of the hosts I've tried.

i perfere VBulltine than Invison bower
i used VB for more than 2or 3 years
trying it .., .solve problems , ..... etc
so i used to use it
but as i can't pay now i use SMF it is very good

I like IPB but VB all the way! I usually use SMF(not going to pay for something i can get free(legally of course)) but i really like VB. If you want good support go with IPB.
