Yea I heard fruity loops is supposed to be the best, it allows you to plug in your own instruments and record and tweak the songs and amplitude. I'd recommend getting it, I know they have a trial version but I think it lacks alot of functionality and you can't save. I'm not into the music creating software, but if your serious I'd say go with Fruity loops..or theirs an open source program called Garageband that is supposed to be similar.

Soundforge is pretty good but it still can't record well enough from the pc, I mean it still works similar to that of windows sound recorded.

i saw someone using "fruity loops" (i dont know the exact spelling) program. i think its more on a rap and some funky instrumentals. where you can find it? google it.
