But I use mixing software to practice - Kramixer.

I find Kramixer quite useful.  It is free software and can be used to creat your own mixes of tracks with a library of effects.

ohh I wasn't talking about making tracks I was talking about real composing like writing real music for bands to play and stuff.

Yup I always use Fruity Loop Studio and adds my own Guitar Work in it.... I've used lots of Music Softwares but I dont think that there's ne software better then Fruity loops, Its really easy to use, and u can find lot of tutorials and samples of Fruity Loops. Plus u can Down its fully functional Demo from http://www.flstudios.net.
